About Amy
My home is nestled in the hills of Redwood City between a plethora of baby Redwoods and large gnarly Pines. My partner Scott and I have the fortune of sharing our lovely home with Angus, a beautiful black cat, and Roxy, his female, white counterpart.
Before moving to Redwood City, I lived in Oakland for five years and before that, near the muddy banks of the Mississippi River in Minnesota.
When I was in my early twenties I had a significant spiritual awakening that sparked my internal flame. I began to immerse myself in a more creative, earth-based spirituality – dreaming, drumming, visioning, creating. My faith is in the earth, the cycles of nature, the spirit of all beings, and admittedly, sub-atomic particles!
When I first heard a deep call to become a minister, I had no idea why I would be called to such a thing, but I listened and persevered. I now know that my call to ministry is about helping people tend their lives and build right livelihood.
Creativity has infused everything I do: I sing, write, drum, dance, and create art. My master’s degree is in Creation Spirituality, which emphasizes that we are originally blessed (not originally sinners) and that as children of “God” we are here to create; creation is the way of the universe and to deny ourselves creation is to deny ourselves connection to the Divine.
